Designer Does Rosedale

One of my favourite places to shop in Toronto is Rosedale. I am speaking about the section of Yonge Street between Alcorn and Roxborough. This strip is filled with design, fashion, beauty and food, what more could you want.

I like to start at the south-end, which is Yonge and Roxborough, and walk North. This way you can capture all this area has to offer.

There is plenty of available parking. I park in the Green P on Price Street but there are many side streets with ample free and paid parking.

Recommended Shops

...Of Things Past

1096 Yonge Street

Of Things Past is my idea of nirvana. One of my favourite stores in the city, it's filled with treasures, antiques and other gems. Of Things Past is a consignment store and weekly prices are marked down.

For me, there is something very special about antiques, they all carry their own stories. My design rule is that one vintage or antique piece must go into the room. I find this adds warmth to the space giving it that lived in feel.

Putti

1104 Yonge Street

Putti is an amazing store for the shabby chic lover. From furniture and lighting to accessories and fashion, they offer a wide range of products. Putti is a great place to find a housewarming gift or a small token of appreciation for someone.

Hopson Grace

1120 Yonge Street

The newest addition to the area is Hopson Grace, a store for those who love to entertain. Hopson Grace is a great spot to find the perfect house wedding present or to just update your own set of dishes.

Absolutely Inc.

1132 Yonge Street and 1236 Yonge Street

This store is full of treasures. With two locations on the strip they have lots to offer. This spot is my go-to place for one-of-a-kind items, things that I don’t see ever anywhere else. If you are looking for that perfect entry piece or a great lamp this is the place to visit.

Advice From A Caterpiller

8 Price Street

This is a store I cannot miss. Hidden past Terroni on Price Street, this neighbourhood gem is a store devoted to children. With everything from nursery furniture to children’s home décor. Find the perfect baby shower gift or just something special for your little one.

Artifacts

1170 Yonge Street

Artifacts is a wonderfully curated collection of home décor, furniture & fashion. This shop has it’s own unique style which is part of the reason I love it. A visit to Artifacts is a must! From trays and candles to dressers and nightstands they have it all!

Glorious Gallery

1268 Yonge Street

Glorious Gallery is located on the Northern end of the strip a little beyond Alcorn. It is a great place to find that beautiful refurbished antique. They also have great sales and make shopping a breeze. 1268 Yonge Street
